Clinician feedback
Clinicians appreciate the in-house service provided by a known colleague.
"Yes, I really do think that what's being offered here should be rolled out by other practices because patients do come to us with bereavement and you know with other issues that you would think a Chaplain would be really beneficial here... it is much easier to suggest that [chaplaincy] as an option, even if they admit they are not particularly religious or that they don't go to church. And they do think that is a good idea, so I would like to see it rolled out further."
"I think it (spiritual care) is massive, such a big part for patients' health... even if not religious or spiritual at all they might really want that at the time. It makes such a big difference... all about making the person's care the best that it can be and that is involved in it - the spiritual perspective."
"So, the kind of things that trigger a referral are patients that have come with mild to moderate, usually mental health problems or social problems that they are finding very stressful, typically anxiety, depression or they have had a recent bereavement, or they are finding a particular event in their life very stressful."
